Introducing Spilled Coffee
“Any idea withheld is an idea taken away. It’s selfish to hold back when there’s a chance you have something to offer.” - Seth Godin
Welcome to Spilled Coffee by me, Eric Soda. Entrepreneur and Investor.
For years people have been pushing me to write a book, start a blog, or newsletter. They’ve told me that my story, along with the business and investing tips, thoughts and ideas that I’ve shared, should be written about.
So, why start now? During the pandemic, I spent a lot of time evaluating my bucket list and what I still want to accomplish. I’ve decided it’s time to start checking those boxes.
Sharing my story along with the thoughts and ideas to help others succeed is checking one of the boxes. I want my kids and grandkids to one day be able to read my story through these writings.
Many people do this when they retire or sell their business. It’s all past tense. Most of the things shared are already old and no longer apply. I want to do this while I’m still learning, growing and inventing new ways to do things. It’s going to be real time.
I didn’t go to college. My first days in business I slept on my office floor. There was no blueprint on how to succeed. I had to find my own path. From that first day and still to this very day, I have the following quote on the wall when you enter my offices.
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I also share any books, podcasts, or articles I have come across, as well as any investments I’m making. Anything that I find interesting or think may be helpful, I will share. My team and I are going to provide the best content that we can.
